Read More Traveler's Notebook

It's Friday and there's a shop update that you're not going to want to miss out on! Brandi Kincaid's latest kit, Mark Your Place, is now available, and it is so much fun to create with. The Pattern Play kit and stamp have been restocked and there are new items, including the option to purchase digital cards to the kits that are currently stocked. Whoo hoo!

For 2018 I want to continue my goal of reading more than I did in the previous year. I'm surprised at how much I read this year considering I'm not a fast reader and there were weeks when I only picked up a book because I needed to dust.

To help me keep on track and to continue recording the books I read, I'm going to be using the Mark Your Place kit and the Track It stamp in a Traveler's Notebook. Each month will have a page to track the days when I was able to read.

And even though it's not January yet, I know I won't finish my current read until then. Plus, I was so darn excited to start my project!

For my first book entry, I printed the book cover and a small graph on printer paper and got to making. I'm still on a Distress Ink and stencil kick, so I added a little bit on both pages. Brandi's cards are little pieces of art and I often just love having them stand on their own. I picked one that I felt set the tone for my notebook, glued it down and added a little washi tape at the top. A stamped sentiment and tiny flower puffy sticker finished it all off.

I'm sure I'll be using the kit in other projects and I can't wait to see what you're inspired to create!
