My Thankful 30 {2017} Days 27-30

I didn't mean for so much time to go by, but here are the last pages for my Thankful 30 album. At times it felt like I was rushed to work on it and I wasn't able to take a new photo each day like I always did in my past albums, but I'm so pleased with how it turned out.

In the end, I have an album that allowed me to reflect on moments that occurred over the course of the year, November included. In the future, when I look back at this album, I won't remember that there were times when I only had an hour to work on 5 pages or that my whole plan went out the window right when I started.

For the 27th, I used another flip up, with a quote on top and photo beneath. I layered a bit of patterned paper with some die cuts and punched a tab with my new punch.

I had been thinking a lot lately about how happy I am that I took the plunge and had laser eye surgery over a year ago. That it all went well and I no longer need glasses or lenses is something I am so thankful for.

The Distress Ink didn't come out the best on this page, but instead of throwing it away, I used patterned paper to cover up a lot of it. I used a little label and some more enamel shapes to pull the light blue from the pattern to brighten up my page.

For day 29, I documented the lovely surprise I received earlier in the month. That planner is going to be well used next year!

The Pattern Play stamp hadn't made an appearance for a while, so I made sure to use it to maintain consistency and selected a stamp I hadn't yet used.

And lastly, the 30th. I don't know if this happens to you, but I've often found myself running out of steam by the end of a project and my last page or two reflects that. I made sure this time to give a little extra attention and brought back the texture paste and stencil to add oomph to my background and then layered several stickers, some with foam adhesive.

I've been using the WRMK typewriter for all of my journaling, and as you can see it can be a little temperamental, but I really do love it. It makes it so easy to get my journaling down, which is always something I struggle with and I don't mind the imperfect text. I've had it for just over a year and while I don't use it all the time, it's not a purchase I regret.

I still plan to record a video walk through so you can see the album in full, and I'll be back soon to share more pages from my December Daily album. Wishing you all the best this holiday season!
