Last week I shared the start of my July pages in my 2017 everyday album and today I'm back with the last 3 to finish the month. If you'd prefer, you can watch how they came together in this video here. While filming my work in progress is still a bit of a struggle for me, I hope that as I talk you through my process, you can learn about the decision making that occurs and see how easy it was to coordinate the Catch Your Breath mini kit with my photos and stories.
I had fun with this first page, trimming a couple of the cards into triangles in order to fit them together to give my page a little added oomph. I liked how the fluttering wings pattern paired with the fireworks and how the colors complemented my photos. I used the same alphabet stickers as on a previous page to continue to tie everything together.
Next, after much shuffling around of the cards, photos, and journaling, (which I edited out of my video because it wound up back in the original arrangement), I made a small embellishment cluster to bring dimension to my page. I stamped onto the card and then placed an element from the PDF printable included in the kit. To add a mixture of textures, I used another puffy sticker from the pack I used last week and then one of the mini flair from the add-on pack.
For my last page, I ended up changing my mind from my original plan and used a card from the printable sheet. My sister and I had been anticipating the return of Game of Thrones and there has been so much happening on the show that I thought the "catch your breath" card wasn't only a perfect color match, but the sentiment made me think about how I need to catch my breath after every tense or shocking moment that occurs.
Thank you so much for your excitement and support surrounding the kit, it means so much to Brandi and me! And for now I'll leave you with the hint that big things are coming to the store and I hope you'll stay tuned to see what we've been working on.
