June Catch Up

Much of June had passed by and I only had two pages completed, so I got the pesky task of printing photos out of the way, and armed with coffee, I worked to get my moments recorded. Each month, I stamp a quote to use as a divider and found this wonderful one from John Steinbeck.

Since I had so many pages to work on, I once again resorted to creating in batches. I laid out my pages and then placed my photos. Just like May, I'm continuing with a loose style of memory planners, but I'm not sure I'll stick with it for July. I do like the addition of the pocket pages, but it takes a lot more coordination for me to feel like my pages are cohesive.

Each month this year has been treated like its own little chapter and I use the same supplies and techniques within each section. I was less concerned about that when I did Project Life, so I'm not sure where this mindset is coming from.

For June's pages, you'll see the same stamps in the backgrounds along with sticky notes and die cuts repeating throughout. While the colors may vary, using the same elements gave me the coordination from page to page that I was seeking.

When it came to the pocket pages, I used the same ink colors for my stamping, but gave myself more freedom with how the pages came together. My only goal was that they color coordinated with the facing page, but the supplies varied.

I'll have a couple more pages to add for the month along with my monthly recap of books read. Those might be my favorites to create and maybe one day I'll get to that mini book all about reading that has been on my mind for over a year. ;)
