The Start of May

With the completion of my April pages, my first everyday album for 2017 was filled. I'm still finding myself drawn to a combination of memory keeping and planners, so I designed and printed pages to use, but once I got started, things didn't go quite as I had envisioned.

I thought that having a specific space for each day would mean that I would better utilize the area and fill it with additional journaling beyond the photos I was including. That way I would have more details from my week included. Since I could only work on my pages in short bursts of time, I forgot that was my intention and ended up only focusing on the photos I'd printed.

I'm not 100% sold on the format of these pages, but I have a couple more to make to finish out the month and then I'll reevaluate if I'll stick with this style moving forward of if I'll change it up again. I'll be adding these to another 6x8 kraft mini album like I used for the first 4 months as opposed to using a planner. The album has a much wider spine and I'll be able to add the dimensional embellishments that I like, mix in the pocket pages I have on hand, and hopefully fit another 4 months into it.

The weather here has been overcast, so when brightening my photos, I lost the light yellow stamping that's in the last 2 images. Hopefully this detail shot helps to show the stamping that's alternating on the pages. As always, any questions, don't hesitate to ask! :)

  2. I really like how these look - they remind me of magazine pages; so very crisp and clean. And I used that same "love this place" stamp today!

    1. Thank you so much, Susan! I'm enjoying trying different designs and of course new products. How funny that we both recently gravitated to the same stamp! :)
