Read More {April 2017}

In my previous post, I shared how I did my April pages for my 6x8 everyday album. Usually I mix up pocket pages and little layouts, but because May was well under way and nothing was made, I went with a memory planner style and documented my highlights.

But I wasn't quite finished with April. Each month I document the books I've read in pocket pages and wanted to maintain that format because I've been including an image of each cover. Since I only read 2 books in April, I cut down a 6x8 page to be 3x8 and put one book on the front and one on the back. I could have easily pulled two cards from my stash to fill the other pockets, but thought it would be fun to make my own.

I've been on a black and white kick lately and with the mostly black book covers, I thought going without color would be the best match. I found a quote by Dr. Seuss to type and then using some floral vectors, I created a loose pattern then added some digital splatters to give it a little depth.

You can download the cards here if you'd like to use them on a project of your own. Let me know if you do, I'd love to see how you're inspired to use them!
