April All at Once

My poor 6x8 everyday album has been sadly neglected and I had no pages completed for the month of April. Because it's most helpful for me to stay current in order to see a project through, I needed a different strategy to get my photos from April documented. And new supplies didn't hurt, because yay, today is the 15th and that mean new products in the shop!

Since working in batches helped me to get my latest Traveler's Notebook insert completed, I decided to do the same for these pages. I printed out all of my photos, lined up the number of pages I'd be using and then arranged all of my pictures. After that, I placed embellishments onto the pages, using the photos as a guide to the colors that would best coordinate.

With a pencil, I marked out where my journaling needed to be and then removed the items, one page at a time, and typed my thoughts. Each page was reassembled, finally with glue, and stamped images. Then I went through and gave each a last look to see if there was anything more I wanted to add. (There wasn't.)

I could have easily used 3x4 pockets with cards, and stuck to the similar style of highlights each month has previously had, but I've been very inspired by memory planners and so went with styling my pages with them in mind, just with less writing and also not sticking to specific dates.

I used both of the new stamp sets that have hit the shop as well as the newest addition to the Flat Packs, die cut flair. You can see that I still can't get away from a little dimension on my pages and popped one of them on with foam adhesive. The other I stapled using the Tiny Attacher.

Because these pages came together so quickly, I even had a little time to prepare my planner pages for the next week by getting the dates stamped and adding a couple of extra sentiments. I only work one week out in my planner in case I decide to change my color scheme or new supplies arrive. I've been known to re-do pages, so this helps to reduce the need.

I hope you'll head over to the shop to see all of the new items and pick up some new items!
