January Highlights with The View From Here

Hi, hello, howdy! Yes, I'm still here, but as you can see, with the various day to day happenings, my blog has been the one thing that I've had to let slide. I am working to get it back into the mix as a way to continue sharing my creative pursuits, keep you up to date on the shop, and most importantly, to provide a spark of inspiration.

With the start of 2017, I changed how I would be documenting our everyday stories and after a long internal debate, I selected a 6x8 album to hold those moments and a Traveler's Notebook for our adventures, whether they be traveling, exploring our town, or getting lost in a good book or movie.

My everyday album is a mix of layouts and pocket pages and to wrap up January I decided to print photos that didn't get any attention throughout the month. Using the newest mini kit, The View From Here, designed by Brandi Kincaid was perfect because much of the focus in the kit is about capturing our lives through photography.

I selected a few cards that I felt best worked with my photos, added my journaling with little strips of typed text, and finished it off with a stamped sentiment. To go a little more in depth about the month, I used one of the digital 3x4 cards (included with the kit) and enlarged it to 6x8. I added more journaling and used one of the tags from the digital printable and popped it up on foam adhesive.

You can pick up The View From Here in the shop now and I'm excited to see what you create! For more kit inspiration, be sure to visit the Creative Team gals - Brandi, Diane, Laura, and Susan. And of course, a shop update wouldn't be complete without new mini flair!

I hope you'll stay tuned as I get back on track with sharing and making and making and sharing. :)

  5. I can't seem to find the awesome and adorable stamp set used in this post in the shop, does that mean they're sold out?
