Adventure TN II

I'm finally back to share some of the projects that I made late August in the new Traveler's Notebook insert I'm currently working in. Like I mentioned before, this has become my current way of gathering our everyday memories since I'm no longer doing my monthly Project Life pages.

First up are photos from what has turned out to be the last visit we made to the botanical gardens that we so often frequented. On my background, I used a stencil and Distress Ink and then topped it with white ink splatters and one stamped image in white ink. Because I wanted my photos to span between the two pages, I printed them on regular printer paper and then trimmed them to fit. Using regular paper allows me to minimize the bulk of what will become a very thick notebook and I also find it easier to get the paper to adhere to the center where the pages meet.

Next up is a fun page I made about the book I was reading at the time. To reinforce my theme, I used pages from an old book and stamped along the edges of each page. I used a large die cut library card and Project Life cards to layer my photo on top of and to also die cut a tab. The last touch was to add the stamped image of the row of books in coordinating colors.

Lastly, I have the story of getting back into the habit of walking daily. Working with a smaller format doesn't mean that I want to forego using my favorite things like patterned paper and stitching. So while the pages are quite full of supplies, I feel like there is still plenty of breathing room.

I haven't been able to keep my blog updated as much as usual, and I also haven't had time to keep up with my blog reading. I'm hoping that once our move is complete, things will finally slow down and I can get back to seeing the lovely projects everyone has been up to!

  1. This is so great, so pretty. Just love. Your pages are beautiful, and fun. Michelle t

  2. I love your TN pages and I love all the stamping that you add. I am looking at doing something different next year from project life as I feel like I need a change. A TN might be a good idea

  3. Lovely to see you still keeping up with your notebooks. I don't know WHY I don't print on normal paper at times. Looks just as good & much more malleable! LOVE the book page. Looks great. Good luck with your moving [errk!!] & settling into a new house, by the sounds of it :):)

  4. Oh my goodness these pages are outstanding!!!
I love that your photos went perfectly in the crease of the book...seriously this is awesome.
And making a book page with old book pages...genius!!

Thank you so much for taking your time to comment, I truly appreciate all your kind words!
