I Make Stuff

It's the first of the month and that means it's release day in the Feed Your Craft shop and there are several new flair designs from Brandi, Jana, and myself! That also means that the current flair from Brandi and Jana will be retired tomorrow and then you'll only have a limited time to pick up the new ones that have just hit the shop. There are also a couple of free printable goodies for you with this release, so keep reading to find out what surprises we have!

Using flair from the Make Something doodle set, I got to work on creating a layout documenting how important my computer is to me. It serves as my most valuable tool for printing photos, designing products, finding inspiration and how-tos, and connecting with fellow crafty friends. As much as I would like to limit my screen time, it's not really an option for me.

I created a patterned paper to use as my background and then pulling from my newly organized die cuts, found several that I thought might work with the 6x6 papers I'd selected. Creating two embellishment clusters, I layered, added, and moved around the elements until I was happy. Then I needed my photos. I used the timer on my iPhone and sat it on a small box on my desk and snapped (way too many) photos. Using two different ones, I turned the larger one black and white and typed my journaling onto it before printing. I left the smaller photo in color and placed it on top at a slight angle with pop dots.

You can download the patterned paper for free here, and I've included the pattern in a variety of sizes for easy printing. It's free for your personal use and when you do, please let me know, I'd love to see how you were inspired to use it.

The second surprise is from Brandi, who has generously created Spring Cleaning calendars for March and April. These are 8.5x11 printables in two different colorways that you will receive for free with the purchase of any Spring Cleaning doodle flair set. Brandi has an example of how she's using her calendars to help keep her home fresh and clean.

Be sure to visit Jana as well, because I know she'll be sharing projects with her new flair designs and you will be inspired for sure. Then head over to the shop to pick up your own sets!
