Happy Place

Thank you all so much for your wonderful responses to our kit release! The support Brandi and I have received has been truly overwhelming.

I've definitely gotten out of the creative funk that I was in and have been crafting up a storm. Maybe it helped having some brand new items like the Homebodies kit and Pink Paislee's C'est La Vie collection. ;)

Using those items along with some bits from my stash, I created a layout about my workspace. I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk. Whether it's crafting, working, video chatting, or eating lunch, it's a place where so many memories are made and recorded.

Recently I pinned this scrapbook layout by Lisa Dickinson and that was the inspiration for my page design. Instead of triangles, I used hexagons to create a wide border at the bottom of my layout. While I looked for embellishments, I stumbled across two wood veneer hexagons that were perfect for adding a little texture and dimension. Building off of those pieces, I used small wood grain alphabet stickers and paired them with black Thickers. My finishing touches were stamping the flower onto the yellow hexagons, a little fussy cut heart from the Cozy patterned paper, and my journaling.

If you were to document a happy place in your home, where would it be? Crafting area, kitchen, couch, or somewhere else? :)

Supplies:
patterned paper - Cozy {Homebodies} - Feed Your Craft, Let's Party {Fine & Dandy} - Dear Lizzy, 6x6 paper pad {C'est La Vie} - Pink Paislee
wood veneer hexagons - Studio Calico
stamp - Homebodies - Feed Your Craft
alphabet stickers - tiny wood grain - Webster's Pages, black Thickers - American Crafts
journaling - Adam.CG Pro
