My Thankful 30 {2015} Days 6-10

I was able to carve out a little crafty time and got my mini album up to date. Those of you that have frequented my blog might have noticed that this album is quite a bit simpler than my usual style. There are two reasons for that. First is that I have noticed that my style has been shifting and while I still love to use plenty of patterned paper and fun bits and pieces, I've definitely been taking a less is more approach. Second, I want to be sure that I keep this project manageable. Since I'll once again be creating a daily album in December, it's important to me to have this album finished right after November ends.

For days 6 and 7 I used inspiration from my photos to determine how I would embellish my pages. My day 7 photo printed darker than intended, so I might reprint the original color version since you can't make out the bookshelves.

I've really been trying to find ways to incorporate enamel dots onto projects and am no longer allowed to buy any more since I don't think I've ever used up an entire pack. So on day 8 I was able to add a few glitzy gold dots.

Day 9 I used some more leaves that were cut with my Sizzix. I felt that the page needed just a little something and so added some thread nests to a couple of the leaves.

For day 10 it may seem a little odd to be thankful for The Walking Dead. It's not so much the TV show, but the fact that my sister and I watch it at the same time while chatting on FaceTime. And of course I used the acorn paper because we're a couple of nuts. ;)

Supplies:
patterned paper, die cuts - Pink Paislee {Cedar Lane}
die cut leaves - Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves craft dies
enamel dots - Doodlebug
other - white thread, 1" circle punch, Sizzix Big Shot

  1. I love the story behind each page as much as I love each page itself! The way you cut the paper for the first page is really cool and complements the photo perfectly. :)
