Trio of Fall Cards

I try to send out snail mail on a regular basis, but have fallen a bit behind so I whipped up these cards to send out to some friends. Most of the cards I send go to fellow crafty ladies so I try to create something that I feel captures a bit of their personality. I sure hope I succeed! :)

The first card I made was inspired by Lisa over at Remember the Good Times. If you're not familiar with her projects, she make multi-dimensional goodness and even has her own shop. I paired two papers for my background, using a wood grain embossing folder on the wood grain print. I die cut some leaves, stitched on a clear tag, and put to use some enamel dots.

Next I got into the Halloween spirit and even though George the Ghost has made it onto other fall projects, he is just too cute not to use again. I blew the dust off of my Cricut Explore Air and cut out my trick or treat sentiment, hand cut a tag, and used up a few more enamel dots.

For my last card, I kept it on the simpler side because I really wanted all of the text and type to stand out. I layered my sentiment on patterned paper and then stitched a border around it all.

It's not too late to pop a card in the mail for someone to wish them a happy fall or Halloween!

  4. Look at you cranking out these beautiful cards! I love what you did with the leaves and wrapped thread on the first card. I'm so glad you were inspired by my card making (and thank you for sharing my shop). I'm honored. :)
