Sweet Treats with Mini Flair

Obviously I love to use mini flair on my projects, you've seen them on my layouts, mini albums, Project Life pages, and more. What I've not often done (actually only once before) is to use them outside of scrapbooking, but that's all about to change.

I picked up a couple of mason jars recently from Michael's and thought it would be fun to fill them up with goodies and gift them to friends who are big fans of Halloween. For my first jar I made a paper bow using my WRMK Envelope Punch Board and then layered a couple of die cut pinked circles underneath of it. I used some thin foam tape between the circles to add a bit more dimension.

On another jar I grabbed a piece of black satin ribbon and tied it in a bow. Since all of the doodle flair in the shop can be purchased with a pin back, this was a quick and easy way to spruce up my jar. Both flair are from the Scaredy Cat set and head's up, these designs by Brandi will be retired on November 1st.

For my larger jar, I filled it with packs of hot cocoa mix (hello, salted caramel!) and made a gift tag using various craft dies, a stamped label, and topped it all off with Francine the Fox from the Chilly Nights set.

Last but not least, a huge congratulations to Michelle T for winning my blog giveaway from Monday. Email me at craftylilgik(at)gmail(dot)com to claim your coupon code!

A huge thanks to everyone for the support shown this week with the launch of the FYC Creative Team, it's been a whirlwind couple of weeks and everyone's enthusiasm has been so appreciated. Hoping you all have a wonderful, craft filled weekend! :)
