Project Life {July 2015}

With so many projects going on, it can actually be a blessing in disguise because if I don't feel like working on a particular project, I can choose something else when the mood strikes. I've had my July PL photos and cards sitting in pockets waiting for me to find the motivation to work on them and it finally all came together.

It's no secret that in the past I've used and loved my Project Life kits from Studio Calico each month, but the July kit was my last from them and I had a difficult time finding cards to match my photos. In the end I decided to let the photo of the lilies direct my color scheme and went hunting down cards to match. I wound up with a variety from several different kits. Because of the bold colors, I kept things simple with typed journaling, a little stamping, alpha stickers, and one mini flair. Oh, and a label, you know I gotta use some labels. ;)

For the back of the page I had an even harder time and kept switching the cards I picked, only to change my mind again. I followed the same style as the front with my embellishments and picked up the colors in the ice cream cone card with a die cut and a label to break up the black and green.

Finally July is in the books and it's time to get August done! Hope you have a great weekend!
