Project Life {June 2015}

I struggled with finding the motivation to work on my June Project Life pages even though I had plenty of photos and stories to document. I didn't feel my usual excitement for either my June or July kits from Studio Calico, finding the designs and embellishments not really fitting my style. Because of that it's time to mix things up.

After my July pages, you'll still see my use of hybrid cards but there will be products from a new kit that I've subscribed to. I enjoy receiving a kit each month and have tried a few different ones over the years. It makes me happy to see so much choice available as our tastes, styles, or budget may change.

For June I wound up making 3 pocket pages in varying styles, the first being the one I shared here last Friday. For my main page I focused on some of the celebrations that occurred that month and like last month, I printed my journaling on vellum then adhered that to the cards.

The back page was all about travels that the hubs took for work and almost all of the photos are from him. Before he left for each trip I asked him to try and remember to snap a few pictures for me. :)

In early June we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We once again went back to where we had our wedding pictures taken and with the help of a tripod, took our anniversary pictures. This was the first year that I took them and sadly I didn't do such a good job. Portrait photography is something that I desperately need to work on, but rarely get the chance to try. Turning the photo black and white did help, and of course it's better to have one not so great photo than none at all.

The cards were made from the same digital pack I used with Friday's page from One Little Bird and then I used another set of hers for the back where I documented some of the things that I was obsessing over. I loved setting up my Traveler's Notebook, I made my 650th post to Instagram, and I was fortunate to receive 3 lovely pocket letters from ladies I met via Instagram.

So June is complete and in a few short days I'll be able to start on July. My how time flies! I hope you have a great day! :)

  1. Wow, these are all great. Makes me think I should try pocket pages! :)

  2. Great job! I love having the option of using photos from my husband too! It's so nice to have a different perspective than my own!

  3. Yay for finishing June (and happy 1 year anniversary to Feed Your Craft)! As always, you did a beautiful job with these pages, Elise.

  4. Great pages Elise, especially the square ones!

  5. These are wonderful! Congrats on the 650 Instagram posts!

  6. Your pages are lovely Elise, I know what you mean about those kits. I love getting a variety of fun materials but when you start getting supplies that aren't something you really would pick it becomes hard to use up those items.

  7. These pages are fantastic! I really love your creative inspiration!

  8. Wow, you pages are always so great!!!
    I do love your Currently obsessed page :)

  9. Looks like you had a fun June. I love how you cut the 3x4 cards to fit in the 3x3 layout... Awesome!

Thank you so much for taking your time to comment, I truly appreciate all your kind words!
