I've been able to make a little progress on my summer mini, but more importantly, I've been making sure to take photos so that when time allows, I can get my summer memories documented. The third prompt from Little Paper Projects was all about focusing on capturing the moment and so I printed out several 4x4 photos so that I could just slip them into a pocket as is.
I had some fun experimenting with different techniques, the first being using digital art from In a Creative Bubble. I added it to the white space in my picture and played around with the opacity of it. In the end I decided to leave it at 100% because I wanted it to stand out.
For the facing page I put my Fuse to work, which was only the third time since I'd gotten it. I cut a 4x4 piece of paper diagonally, stamped on it, and then adhered a phrase strip to it. I sealed it with the Fuse and then worked on the other half.
I love the look of shaker pockets, but don't like how the insides will just fall to the bottom. My solution with this is to use a piece of clear transparency and adhere some of the sequins with glue dots to the upper portion of the transparency. I did this to both sides so that you can't see the glue and then poured in about 100 more sequins.
For my next pages I cut another piece of paper diagonally and glued several die cuts to the paper. I was conscious of the embellishments I used on both sides so that everything would match the neutral sequin mix I used.
Here's a look at all of the pages outside of the album.
