Little Summer Joy Pt.2

I am taking a very casual approach to my summer mini inspired by Little Paper Projects in the hopes of making it a fun and manageable project. So far I've been making 2-page spreads and I'm liking the results.

I took my parents to Chicago to visit my sister for a few days and so of course that had to make an appearance in my album. I'm not bothered by duplicating photos or stories so I'll go into greater detail in either my Project Life or scrapbook layouts about our trip.

The week 2 prompt from LPP was about using a planner to organize your summer activities and didn't really apply to me because of my breezy approach. Instead, I found the inspiration from Mandy's #HashtagThisWeek to be the perfect way to add a fun currently list. I also combined a class challenge from Inked | Alphabets to stamp in at least two different colors. I've actually been stamping on each 2-page spread so far thanks to that class.

Because I'm working with 4x4 pages, I alternated stamping numbers and spelling them out in order to make sure everything fit. I typed my strips of text with the free font, Amatic SC Bold, and cut 6x6 papers from Crate Paper {Poolside} for my backgrounds. I used an entire pack of Bubble Icon mini flair from my shop as my embellishment. From now through August 31st, you can take 20% off of your order with the code SUMMERJOY. It's good for everyone, whether or not you're participating with this particular project.

My next pages will be about items from my summer manifesto and I've finally printed off my photos to make my June Project Life pages. Hope to see you back here! :)

  2. Loving your pages and this format, Elise. You'll have to tell me if the highlight of your trip was the Minions movie. :)

  6. Your pages are lovely…I love the heart on the first page.
I also duplicate my journaling (as I have different journals for different things in my life)
I feel like I shouldn't document the same things…but I will take your advice and just let it go :)
