Our Northeastern Adventure Pt. 5

I'm slowly making progress on my vacation photos from last year and have two more layouts to share. The first I made a few weeks ago and was based off of a sketch by Shimelle Laine. I've actually used this sketch before but since I like it so much, I decided to use it again.

The papers are a mix from We R Memory Keepers, Webster's Pages, Crate Paper, and Fancy Pants and the embellishments are mostly from Crate Paper, Studio Calico, and My Mind's Eye and of course since this was inspired by Shimelle, I had to ink my edges. ;)

This next layout I made uses an 8x12 photo and it's the first time I've scrapbooked a photo this big. In my head I had pictured a different outcome and while I don't love it, I am happy to have given it a go. The background paper is an older one from the Basic Grey line {Carte Postale} and then I made most of the embellishments that ran down the side of my photo.

If you'd like to see the previous layouts that go along with this series, you can find them all here in my gallery. I hope that you have a lovely weekend! :)

I love the impact of the large photo on the second layout and yet, you were still be able to use embellishments…great layouts
