Love This Moment

It's funny to me how much my scrapbooking tastes differ from all other aspects in my life. I never would have guessed that I would love the patterns and designs from Maggie Holmes as much as I do. Most recently, I have been giving {Open Book} quite the workout with my fall photos and still have plenty more to work on.

This layout is another from the trip to the National Arboretum with my sister. I used a stencil and embossing paste on the background along with some black mist droplets. I placed a couple of layers under my photo and stitched down all of the vellum embellishments. The final touches were some fabric brads and black gemstones.

What about you, are there collections that you're surprised to find you really enjoy creating with?

  1. You are doing a beautiful job with this collection, Elise! Love the vellum elements and the fabric brads and rhinestones. Their placement reminds me of falling leaves. Shine Bright by Kaisercraft surprised me. I'm loving it way more than I thought I would.

  5. Beautiful page! No recent collections come to mind, but I surprised myself when I liked a couple of Bella Blvd collections. The bright colors were super fun and the page didn't turn out too "kiddy" like I expected it would.

  6. This paper goes beautifully with your stunning photos.
I love the simplicity of this layout…even though it would take me forever to accomplish this.
Not sure about which collections I am creating with….but I have a few that I am hoarding ;)
