As I began on my book I didn't have a clear cut idea of what I'd be recording. All I knew was that I would focus on details that occurred in March and go from there. Now that it's complete, I feel like it's a nice summary of what March had in store for me. I didn't wind up using everything in the kit I assembled (posted here), but I'm happy that I managed to pull in some items I wasn't sure I'd ever use.
If you'd like to see individual photos, feel free to visit my gallery. As far as techniques go, I used watercolor paper with Tim Holtz Distress Markers, did plenty of sewing, used gesso and mist, and also a good bit of Mod Podge and book pages. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me in the comments.
I enjoyed taking the Details Mini Book Workshop by Tina Aszmus even though I strayed a bit from her provided lesson. Being able to see so many pages from her was really nice and learning a couple of image transfer techniques was fun. I felt it was a reasonable price and the list of prompts is something I'll certainly refer back to for inspiration.
In case you missed out, the class will be available again as part of the Mini Library in late May over at Studio Calico. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a great day!
