All Curled Up

I sometimes wonder if I would enjoy having a Silhouette Cameo, because I've seen projects from crafty folks that are seriously awesome. For now I'm going to continue holding back from buying one, so when I saw a recent layout by Paige Evans that I could create with just scissors and a paper trimmer, I had to scraplift her.

I gathered a half dozen patterned papers and started slicing them into strips. I got carried away and cut way more than I needed. I then started cutting them to length to create my heart shape. Let me tell you, it was a nice change to have made my layout without measuring a single thing!

Once my strips were in place, I used my least sticky washi tape to outline the heart shape and then ran it through my sewing machine to stitch the strips in place onto the background paper. I die cut a tab and stitched a cork heart to it and then found the purr-fect place for the wood veneer kitty. I used foam dots to pop up my paper layers and photo. Some mist droplets and sequins and I was all done.

Thanks to everyone that joined in my latest giveaway and shared a little tidbit about themselves, I enjoyed reading all of the comments. Please give a big congrats to Penny for being selected by random.org! Penny, email me at craftylilgik(at)gmail(dot)com to let me know which 4 sets you would like and where I can send them.

I hope you will all stay tuned because I have several new sets coming out at the beginning of March as well as some exciting news to share! Follow me here or on Instagram so you don't miss a thing!

  9. Awww, love the page! Super sweet! I have yet to replace my old dead Cricut. I loved it when I had it, but I do not love the time it sucked up, as the possibilities are endless with a die cut machine. But my craft time is not endless, so to speak. LOL!!
