PL & CY365 {November 2014}

When I made these pages, I was in the beginning stages of wanting to include more artistic mediums to my projects, like you've seen with my December Daily and my first art journal page. So armed with gesso, Mod Podge, and Distress Markers, I got to work. Things didn't go as I had planned and I had to throw away some of the cards I made. All I have to say is that it was a good learning experience. :)

For the front page I used gesso on a couple of cards to tone down the pattern and give them a more artistic look. I had picked up a leaf from one of my walks, then pressed it and sealed it with Mod Podge. This was apparently a month focused primarily on food as I happened to capture a lot of our treats and meals. My journaling is almost nonexistent and I hope to remedy that in future spreads.

The back page has another card with gesso and a stamped image that I colored in with Distress Markers. I also had fun trying out a new alphabet stamp set that I picked up on sale. More food and a sister date that included meeting someone sweet for the first time.

I'm looking forward to working on December's pages and practicing with new techniques, but I think I'm most excited about January's pages and the new size they'll be in and possibly a new format.

Here's my favorite photo from the daily photo challenge in November. Hope your week is going well!
