Documenting December 2014 {Days 7-12}

I had a chance to work on my December Daily album before Christmas, but then had to wait for some sunshine to be able to photograph my pages. Now that I have taken the stress off of myself and am sticking to a simple recipe, it's been fast and enjoyable to work on. A photo and story for each day and a technique to try or supply to use up and that's that!

Day 7 - a winter walk at the garden to see the holiday lights
technique - gesso, heat embossed stamped images, and Tim Holtz Distress Markers

Day 8 - sponsoring the linky party Paper Issues
happy dance - used good bit of washi to make my background

Day 9 - the hubs brought home yummy petit fours
happy dance - wasn't sure that I'd use the gold pockets that had come in a kit

Day 10 - currently list with an altered card from a digital set by Sahlin Studios
technique - stamped background

Day 11 - holiday baking and recipes enclosed in kraft envelope
technique - using a stencil with ink and more Distress Markers

Day 12 - took holiday photos for a friend and her family
happy dance - glad to have gotten several pages done

I do my December Daily album all the way until the 31st and so will have a few more posts to share, hopefully sooner than later! :)

***Feel free to visit my gallery if you'd like to flip through my album page by page. Last years December Daily is there as well and all relating blog posts can be found here.***

  1. This is turning out so beautifully, Elise! I love how you're not just documented the daily memory, but the technique you're trying each day too.

  2. Great job! I didn't do one this year, but I did enjoy looking at my four previous ones. Each one is a unique treasure.

  3. Just beautiful pages Elise, glad you are enjoying your DD. Love that you are able to do so many techniques and makes me feel guilty for throwing mine together.

  4. Your pages are awesome!!
I love that you are playing with new techniques on your pages as well.
I have to say, I love the Top Secret envelope with your recipes inside.

  5. I love that pages 10! I have been wanting to use stamps to create a background. Love the typewriter words too.

Thank you so much for taking your time to comment, I truly appreciate all your kind words!
