Our Northeastern Adventure Pt. 2

Like many others, when I don't feel like or have time for scrapping, I'll take a few minutes to view a gallery, check Pinterest, or do some shopping. I make note of ideas, sketches, and layouts and then when I need a boost, I'll return to a piece of inspiration and go from there.

That's exactly what happened with this first page. It's a lift of a gorgeous layout by Violeta, who was recently a guest designer over at Studio Calico. She has a fantastic style and I'm glad to have had her brought to my attention.

These layouts will be facing each other and so I wanted them to coordinate. I used a geometric wood grain paper from {Notes & Things} by Crate Paper on both pages as well as punched butterflies, zig zag sewing, and October Afternoon alphabets and stickers.

Like I mentioned in my first post about this trip, I have items that I'm really pushing myself to use. It was a small start, but I used 3 different alphabets, 4 Heidi Swapp Project Life cards, and a few stickers. Those are all items I kept buying, but not using, so I'm a happy camper.

If you're on Instagram, you might like to know I'm holding a giveaway with 4 sets of my mini flair for you and a friend. You can find all the details here and it's open until the 20th at noon EST. :)

  1. Beautiful pages, Elise. Makes me wish I was in Maine, at the ocean, right this minute (as the frigid winds blow and snow sits on my lawn, LOL!) :)

I am doing a huge purge of my scrap space and then I am going to try and go on a strict scrap budget in 2015 and use mostly what I have already!
