PL & CY365 {August 2014}

Those that read my blog regularly probably know I try to stay current with my scrapbook projects as well as Project Life. I find that if too much time passes from when the photo was taken, I don't feel as inspired to creatively record the memory. But since my creative juices have been flowing again, I jumped on getting my Project Life up to date and into my album.

I've been using the Studio Calico PL kits all of 2014 and this is only the second kit that I've been ho hum about. So for the front page I added a lot of Heidi Swapp Dreamy PL cards and some papers from the SC card kit. I've been digging deep to get unopened embellishments used as well, but it still seems I haven't made a dent!

For the back page I made 4x4 filler cards for the top row using digital papers from {Magic Hour} by Paislee Press. I've been reading a lot so to devote an entire row in the spread was fine by me. :) The bottom left filler card I made in Photoshop Elements with a map image from Google Maps and text printed on regular paper, then I printed an overlay on vellum of a chevron pattern also from {Magic Hour}. The envelope that came in August's kit worked well to hold the itinerary of our trip and is adhered to that outside of the pocket.

I haven't done anything extra with my photo a day pictures, but wanted to leave you with one of my favorites from August.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
