Our Northeastern Adventure Pt. 1

In early September, the hubs and I took a mega road trip up to Maine, stayed a couple of days in Canada, and then stopped in Lake Placid before heading back home. It was a fantastic trip, though not our longest, but I was surprised at how few photos I took.

48 hours out of the 144 of our trip were spent driving, and so I did wind up with quite a few snaps out the front window. I used Picasa to make a collage with 6 of them and then placed my photos over layers of tags from Crate Paper's {Notes & Things}, tags I cut with a Lawn Fawn set of dies, and all sorts of labels. So here is my title page and I'll certainly be sharing the rest as they get completed.

No surprise, I assembled a kit of supplies and it's sitting in a pile on my desk. I went with a wide variety of manufacturers which is out of the norm, but I wanted to push myself to expand my mixing and matching.

I bought multiple papers from Crate Paper {Notes & Things}, Fancy Pants {True Friend}, We R Memory Keepers {Shine}, American Crafts {Shimelle}. I also picked up a sheet from Pink Paislee, Basic Grey, Pebbles, and of course pulled from my stash. I don't have a lot of papers on hand and so whenever I undertake a big project, I always have get to buy pretty new paper. ;)

For embellishing, I picked up the one pack of tags, a pack of rub-ons and a sticker sheet. I made some printable labels and the rest will be taken from the supplies I have. I'm hoping to make a dent in my alphabets, Project Life cards, and little embellishments. We'll see! Hope you have great weekend! :)

  1. Hee-hee, Fabulous title! it's so appropriate for that long drive. Love the clustering behind each pic.

  2. Sounds like a fun trip!
I love getting photos from the car as we drive which we did a lot of this summer (lol)
Fun title and design for your page!

  3. Aw so fun! I had a Maine to North Carolina trip in August - I feel like 80% of my photos this year are views from a passenger's a fun way to pass the miles :)

  4. Great title page! I love how each picture and embellishments are different, yet the page is so cohesive.

  5. Such a fun way to display the driving photos, and have to say sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment rather than worrying about taking those photos.

  6. Such a great layout.
I love how you layered all of those tags on the back of your photos!!!
    Sounds like a wonderful vacation.

  7. I just finished a layout about our favorite stop in Maine! :) Love how you scrapped these photos, Elise, with the layered tags. Awesome design!

  8. Always love your layouts
Love the design what a great way to show off your photos!
