Documenting December 2014 {Gearing Up}

I'm excited to create another December Daily album this year and am happy with the supplies I've gathered. I thought I'd buy a kit this year, but didn't end up seeing any that I loved and the price tag on some of the kits available is pretty steep. So for about $60, I made my own!

I went with traditional reds and greens with wood grain and chalkboard elements. I'll be putting it all in a red burlap SN@P! 6"x8" album, using a variety of pocket pages.

I bought the 6"x6" paper pad from the Pink Paislee {Merry & Bright} collection and 12"x12" papers from Simple Stories {Cozy Christmas}, My Mind's Eye {Sleigh Bells Ring}, Carta Bella {Christmas Time}, and Pebbles {Home for Christmas}.

Of course I needed some gold glitter Thickers from Shimelle's line and wood veneer pieces from the Gossamer Blue {Get Happy} collection. From my stash I added washi tapes, new flair from my Etsy shop, and I'll be using plenty of sequins, stamps, and dies.

I also made a set of numbers on wood grain patterned banners and you can download your set here via Google Drive, no login needed. These are free for your personal use and I'd love to see how you use them! Here's a couple of examples of what you might see in my album.

In case I need additional inspiration throughout December, I'll use my photo a day challenge, but I've also made a list of prompts to refer to that includes holiday and everyday ideas. On top of that, I'll be going on a Christmas lights scavenger hunt. The hubs and I always take one evening to drive around and look at decorations, so I thought this would add a fun twist. Feel free to print off this 4"x6" image and head out with your family and a camera!

If you'd like to see last year's album, you can view it in my gallery, and all blog posts can be found under the label #decemberdaily on the right sidebar. Let me know if you're doing December Daily so I can take a look as your album progresses!
