Farm Fresh, So Yum
I think I was feeling a little stifled from working on projects that were 6 inches or smaller and had to take a break! These were the last photos that I wanted to scrapbook from the summer before starting work on our recent travel adventures.
You know that I always assemble a kit when I work on bigger projects, but you might not know that as soon as I have photos printed, I pick out the papers and then set it aside until I'm ready to work. That might not be for several weeks, which sometimes means I don't use the papers I initially picked, and that's exactly what happened here.
A little bit ago I made this layout that was inspired by Nicole Nowosad. I'd actually pinned two layouts by her and it's the second layout from the same blog post that inspired this page. I dug through my scraps and pulled several papers to punch all of my circles. I added pop dots and a little sewing for added dimension and texture. The title uses a chipboard alphabet from October Afternoon, the wood veneer are from Freckled Fawn, and a die cut banner from a Studio Calico die. No journaling because my June Project Life pages have all the details and these pages will in the same album.
My second layout also came from a recently pinned image from the blog Astero's Crafty World. This is a design I'd been wanting to try for some time and love all the little bits I was able to use. Pearls, sequins and wood veneer, oh my! To help it coordinate with the linear structure of the facing page, I lined the punched circles in the same style and used more of the chipboard letters. I'm going to be linking these layouts up over at Paper Issues and their current issue, Anything Goes. I hope you have a happy and crafty weekend ahead!
