Let me tell you, I really struggled with creating my Project Life pages for June. So much that I completely redid them both. Last month I printed all of my photos at smaller sizes and really liked that and wanted to continue that style. Unfortunately the sizes all seemed off and I wound up printing many of them over. Thank goodness several fit on one 4"x6" photo paper!
My other disappointment was using the electric typewriter that I took from my parents some months ago. I was not at all keen on how my journaling cards turned out and suffered the consequence of throwing them away.
Since I needed to pull from my stash, I used cards from Basic Grey {Fresh Cut}, Crate Paper {The Open Road}, and a letterpress card I made. The second page was all cards from my Studio Calico PL kit except for one Amy Tangerine {Cut & Paste} card.
I've never redone pages before, feeling that at least I got the project complete even if I felt less than stellar with the end result. I try not to beat myself up if something doesn't turn out quite as I pictured it. There's always more pretty paper and fun supplies, you know? :)
For my photo a day pages I was inspired to stamp and heat emboss on vellum from this recent post on the Studio Calico blog. I left out the acrylic painting step, but it's something I'd like to try in the future. While I was at it, I also heat embossed the word dream on the pretty cloud card. I used one of my free striped month printables and then cut out the sentiments from a couple of Project Life {Coral} cards to add to the Studio Calico ones.
Don't forget, all products in my Etsy shop are 15% off through the end of July so be sure to get your order placed with the code SUMMERSALE before then! Have a wonderful weekend! :)
Your flower photos are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteAlways love your PL layouts
These spreads are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI think all of your pages are stunning.
ReplyDeleteI like the soft look of the papers and everything flows just so nicely.
I love your spreads! I understand the need to redo when it just isn't flowing! I think the Hello June card is absolutely darling, love those sequins on the cup and I love the embossed cards, those look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it all comes together nicely and other times I phaff about and it all goes pear shaped! Your pages look great so it was well worth persevering.
ReplyDeleteI think they turned out fantastic, but I know that feeling of "BLEHHH" when I'm working on something and it's just not looking the way I want!
ReplyDeleteI've totally started over again on pages before, so you're not the only one :)
