Mini Holiday Pt. 3

Here are the final pages of our trip to Charleston, SC. There are actually more, but these were my favorites from what I had left to share. If you'd like to see them all as they appear in my album, feel free to pop over to my gallery.

I really love how this divided page came together, it was definitely one of those times when it all just clicked. Plus, I finally got to use one of the sweet wood veneer mushrooms I'd gotten from a Freckled Fawn kit.

On all my 12"x12" layouts, I varied the photo placement and I think working on the top third worked well for my sunset photo. One of the Basic Grey {Mon Ami} papers had a repeating ticket pattern which inspired my title for the page. I cut them out, used a hole punch on some, and built up my layers from there.

On this last divided page I had a little mishap with my journaling, but because I had already stitched my embellishments down, I had to just work around it. I covered up my mistake with more of the same patterned paper and moved on.

I did have fun with the yellow card at the bottom though. I kept all the stamps on the package, inked it with Versamark, and then heated clear embossing powder on top. I am so in love with the October Afternoon {Daily Flash} alphabet sets and plan on stocking up on some more colors.

Onward to the next project! :)
