A Different Kind of Blog Hop

Last week, my sweet friend, Jana over at Scissors, Glue & Paper invited me to join in a different kind of blog hop. This is an ongoing hop that gives you the chance to get to know my creative side a little better and meet a few of the people that continue to inspire me.

What am I working on right now?
I have a couple of layouts that I'm in the planning stages of, have 2 mini books that have had their supplies kitted up, and am still on a card making kick.

How long does it take to create a project?
I'm a pretty slow scrapbooker and I get distracted easily, so it takes me at least a few hours to complete a layout or Project Life page. I rarely do it all in one sitting, often leaving it on my desk for several days. Cards come together much more quickly.

What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?
I'm still loving my stamps, have been making a point to pull out my beloved washi tapes, and of course pretty paper! I am so digging Crate Paper's {The Open Road} and more is on it's way to me.

How does your creative process work?
The short version is photos, supplies, then inspiration/sketch/challenge whether it's mine or someone elses. Once I have an idea of the direction I'm headed, I stop looking and start positioning all of my elements. I adhere everything once it's all in place and then add my title and journaling.

What inspires you?
Nature plays a big part for me, not only as inspiration, but also as a way to recharge. I mean just look at the natural cluster formed by the peaches, in an odd number, amidst layers of leaves, and grounded to the edge of the photo. ;) Seriously though, I'm inspired by so many crafty folks, travel, typography, advertising, colors, and of course, new scrapbooking supplies.

So there's a look into what's going on in my creative space. I hope you'll visit the fabulous blogs I've selected, I know you'll find plenty of inspiration, and next Monday you can get to know the lovely people behind the creations.

Leslie at Dictionary's Creative Space has a clean style that I love and I always enjoy seeing what little tidbits she adds to her layouts. Her cards are always a treat with their use of Copics or watercolors!

Tisha at Tisha's Scrappy Heart is a newer source of inspiration to me and I'm sure you'll be glad you checked out her blog. I love her fearless use of layers, gold, and ribbons!

Emily at Mrs. Crafty Adams captures her memories Project Life style, but has lately been dabbling in scrapbook layouts. I feel like she has such a cheerful personality that comes through in her projects!
