I had a blast picking out my supplies, and earlier this week I spent a couple hours preparing my album. I made a title page and wrote my thoughts on why this project is important for me to to. I cut filler cards from my Basic Grey {Persimmon} 6"x6" paper pad, cut out the printable labels I created, and made a couple of 3"x4" confetti shaker cards.
I also made some feathers based on a tutorial I'd seen on Manda Moore's blog, Mandalika Designs.
I'm going into this as prepared as I can because I don't want this album to feel like a chore. I am doing a photo and journaling for each day, carrying the same page design throughout. You can see my list of prompts here, and my full kit of supplies here. A few days ago I decided I'd also be documenting our December, but that album will be much more whimsical!
I had to forego using a link tool, but feel free put in the comments where we can go to look at your album preparation. You can also share on Instagram using #mythankful30!
Good choice of paper. Love that BG collection. Thanks for the tutorital link on feathers. I need to make some. Love the weaving on the cover page. Great job.

ReplyDeleteLove this weaving look and the feathers are great !
ReplyDeleteomg - love!! Those feathers are beautiful too. I thinking making as much of the album ahead of time is a great plan - that way you have a better chance of completing it!
