My Adventures with Glitter Girl

I am constantly amazed and inspired by so many scrapbookers on a daily basis, but there is one that I can honestly say has changed scrapbooking for me. Earlier this year I stumbled on Shimelle Laine's blog, which then led me to her sparkly friend, Glitter Girl.

After having learned so much already from the pair, I was jumping up and down at the announcement of a new Glitter Girl workshop at Two Peas in a Bucket. There are 5 chapters, each with 2 videos to watch, a PDF file to read, and several new layouts to inspire. At your own pace, you can follow along as Glitter Girl breaks down some of the everyday problems that can plague any memory keeper. You can read my full review and purchase the workshop HERE.

I have just begun a wedding album to give to a girlfriend for her first wedding anniversary and this workshop has come at the perfect time. I am more inspired than ever to use my tools and supplies to create layouts I love and hopefully will be loved. Here are the first two pages!

Cutting and stitching the background paper on the first layout is something I lifted from Sasha Farina. She is yet another source of inspiration for me, and if you have the time, check her out!

The kit I put together this time consists primarily of the My Mind's Eye {Find Your Wings and Fly} collection. I felt that those items help to convey the fun atmosphere for a wedding that had a caricature artist, a photo booth, a local band, and a DJ. I've also gathered some older My Mind's Eye {Stella Rose} papers and embellishments left from my Studio Calico kits and from Freckled Fawn.
