Jumpstart Your Mojo

It had been a couple of weeks since I'd last scrapbooked any photos. Even though I've been creative very regularly since April, I didn't stress about my rut. I didn't even feel guilty about all the happy mail that came to me. I knew I would feel ready to play with paper sooner than later.

Once I was ready to sit at my desk and do more than admire my recent purchases, I turned to a challenge as starting point. There are challenges galore, and I like trying out different ones for a variety of inspiration and also, to support those that provide the challenges.

I was inspired by the biweekly Stash Busters challenges. They can be found on the Two Peas in a Bucket forum and are hosted by ScrapNatya. She provides a variety of prompts to choose from and each project completed provides you an entry to a little prize!

I tackled Prompt #4 first, which was to use any of the 8 manufacturers listed. I used Basic Grey {What's Up} and American Crafts {Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste} and scrapbooked another baby photo of my hubs. I am still fighting with sunbursts, but followed the instruction from a guest post by Tomomi Hiramaru on Shimelle's blog a while back. In addition to the required manufacturers, I used items from Fancy Pants, and Pebbles and some brand new embellishments from Freckled Fawn and Crate Paper.

For prompt #3, I scraplifted a layout from the Stash Buster, Sassiescrapper. She has a wonderful, linear style that caught my eye straightaway. I also love the look of strips of journaling and hope to remember to do it more. Almost everything on this layout is from Echo Park's {Here & Now} with a couple brads and decorative tapes from My Mind's Eye.

If you've ever been in a rut and then find it's time to snap out of it, try your hand at a challenge!
