If you haven't seen, Lilith Eeckel is running a summer color video series on her blog and you can link one project for each video to be entered for a lovely prize. I submitted this layout for her first challenge, and now it's time for my next one.
Her second video focused on using 2 colors and a neutral. I chose aqua and yellow for my colors and a not quite black for my neutral. I had heavily edited the picture I used and as a result, the sky was very aqua and a nice match to the papers I'd chosen.
I used several old and new products from My Mind's Eye, along with the Pink Paislee {Cottage Farms} Basket 12x12 paper. There are also journaling cards from Echo Park's {Everyday Eclectic}, Heidi Swapp Color Shine and labels, Thickers, Doodlebug Twine, and a MAMBI Pocket Pages card.
This is the last page in the series of layouts that I did for my trip to help my sister move. We had spent the day exploring her town and nearby park and on our way back, I snapped this picture. As we drove by some gorgeous old buildings, I was struck with how this once thriving town was created on so many hopes and dreams.
This is so pretty! I love the vintage/distressed look to this!
