Off We Go

In the last 18 months, I have used the internet as a valuable tool more so than ever before. I don't care for social media, can get in and out of Pinterest with little damage, and have only ordered a couple of things from Etsy.

I do however, spend a lot of time looking at galleries and blogs that are chock full of creativity. I have an awesome (free) application called Growly Notes on my laptop that allows me to keep all of that lovely eye candy organized, as if it were in a binder. Here's a screen shot showing an upcoming event I'm helping to plan, and on the left, you can see my various notebooks.

In a recent quest for new inspiration, I was looking through the gallery at Studio Calico. Their June guest designer, Stephanie Bryan (see her blog here), created this awesome layout and I was immediately taken by it. I love how the inset items are teeny canvas artworks, each with their own detailing. I went in a different direction with my page, choosing a large square photo and adding my embellishment to the outer edges of the page. In the future, I may make a layout that sticks much more closely to Stephanie's fabulous one!
