Welcome to my little space on the internet where I'll be gathering loads of information and inspiration to share! I'm continuously amazed with how many (free) resources are now at our fingertips and want to pass along my findings to help you color your world. Whether it be memory keeping, word art, simple DIY home decor, or cooking and baking, I hope that you find something that feeds your imagination for your next project (or two).

I tend not to be a very wordy person and plan on keeping posts short and sweet, so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me through the comments section or with an email, I'll be happy to chat!

So without further ado, let's look at photo album organization. I was in my late teens when I began scrapbooking, and since I was young and on a budget, I limited myself to 8-1/2 by 11 pages. I covered regular vinyl 3-ring binders with fabric and batting following a no-sew pattern template and was happy as could be.

I took a long break from scrapbooking and when I got back to it, the industry had blossomed and I had to go big, so into the realm of 12x12 I ventured! I currently have five 12x12 albums and I wanted a way to label them so they looked more attractive lined up on their shelf.

I found inspiration at the blogs of Creative Organizing, Shimelle, Cathy Zielske, and Two Peas in a Bucket.

I created the labels on the computer and printed them on heavy cardstock and cut them out. I wound brown DMC floss around the spine of the album 3 times and then adhered the labels to the flowers and the flowers to the albums with glue dots. The white canvas flowers are from Little Yellow Bicycle and when I found out they were put on clearance at Michael's, I bought an additional package for the future.

Thank you so much for taking your time to comment, I truly appreciate all your kind words!
